Adventures of Lolo II (アドベンチャーズ オブ ロロⅡ) is a puzzle game developed by HAL Laboratory and released in 1990 for the Nintendo Famicom in Japan.
Overview[]
Adventures of Lolo II brings in various additions to the classic gameplay of the series. This game features a fully explorable overworld, with various towers which the player can complete in any order, though later towers usually need previous ones to be completed first before they're unlocked. On the overworld the player can also find trees where Grandpa resides; he gives various hints during the game and also teaches tricks to complete certain levels. The game features a total of 110 stages, making it twice as long as the previous games.
In this game both Lolo and Lala are playable, with the player being allowed to alternate between them. It introduces a new enemy named Moby/Capo, as well as boss fights against giant versions of the old enemies (Boss Snakey, Boss Alma, Boss Rocky, Boss Leaper, Boss Skull, Boss Goll, Boss Medusa and Boss Don Medusa).
Much like the previous game this served as the base for the American released Adventures of Lolo 3.
